Today students from The Westminster Schools visited the courthouse to observe criminal proceedings in Chief State Court Judge T. Russell McClelland’s courtroom.
Afterward, Judge McClelland met with them to discuss the proceedings and answer questions. The class then watched a presentation by Detectives Haff and Bell from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office of real crime scene investigations. The students are enrolled in a crime scene investigation course that explores the various scientific tools used to assemble information and solve crimes.
Guided tours are available to groups of school-aged children. To schedule your tour, please visit our Courthouse Tours page. The courthouse is open to the general public during normal business hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
