Chief State Court Judge T. Russell McClelland welcomed students from Forsyth Central High School's Workplace Spanish Program into his courtroom to observe interpreters in action.
The students visited the courthouse today and observed several hearings to witness interpreters working in the courtroom. Afterward, Judge McClelland met with the class and discussed the importance of qualified interpreters in legal and judicial settings. They heard from several legal professionals about the different job opportunities available for bilingual speakers.
The Workplace Spanish Program at Forsyth Central High School offers certification through the Court Interpreters Certification Program.
